Blast Cabinets – Suction Feed
Introduction
Our Suction Feed Blasting Sand Blast Cabinets are an economical, self contained blast cleaning machine - suitable for lower production environments than our pressure feed cabinet.
Available from The Surface Finishing Equipment Group - Abraclean in the Northwest UK and Hogg Blasting and Finishing Equipment in the Northeast UK.
Ideal for lighter duty use such as workshop repairs, decorative finishes, or etching glass or stone.
The cabinet consist of a fabricated steel blast chamber mounted on four legs which is accessed by a lift up door on the front and two hinged doors, one on each side. The operator puts his hands through protective rubber gloves in the front of the cabinet and holds the abrasive gun in one hand while manipulating the product to be cleaned in the other hand. The operator looks through a glass screen which is covered by replaceable protective films strips. The work area is lit by a 240v lamp.
A compressed air supply is connected to the cabinet and this is used to supply the abrasive delivery system.
The air supply (recommended 50 to 80 psi) passes through a pressure regulator to the foot pedal. When the foot pedal is activated, the air flows through the suction gun. This in turn sucks abrasive from the bottom of the cabinet into the air stream.
